Healthy Child YYC
Calgary Society for Healthy Child Development: Making a difference, one child at a time.
The period from birth to six years of age is a critical time for a child’s health, growth and development. Calgary Society for Healthy Child Development is a charitable organization that helps children achieve their potential by ensuring young lives start off on a firm footing. Our aim: that families have what they need to grow up healthy and strong.
Our role in helping Calgary’s children lead healthy lives:
Fundraising – We raise funds for Prime Time, a Calgary-based in-home support program that provides parenting coaches to vulnerable families. The coaches help the parents navigate through the first six years of their child’s life by building parenting competencies and healthy family relationships that support child development.

Educate and Inform – we strive to increase awareness for the importance of early child development. We share research-based information on our website and social media.
Help is Free at Prime Time
Prime Time coaches work with families who are under considerable stress and are not connected to a strong support network. They provide practical guidance and information to new parents who are the better able to meet their child’s needs from birth, through infancy and beyond. This free service contributes to long-lasting success for children and parents.
